ORIGIN: it grows in Europe, Siberia and can also be found in North Africa and West Asia.

PROPERTIES: the wood is of orange-red colour, soft, light, viscous and without shining. Alder wood is well cut, it is neither split at carving nor cracked at drying. It is also highly water resistant.

USE: alder veneer is used for the production of furniture, doors and plywood.
