ORIGIN: beech grows in the moderate climate of the Northern hemisphere: North America, Russia and especially in Europe.
PROPERTIES: beech belongs to the leaf heartless type. Year rings are very wide. On the cuts they look like dark shining spots and give original appearance to the wood. The wood colour is yellow with a touch of grey. It becomes dark under the sun rays and gets a reddish tint. Wood texture is clearly seen on the radial and crown cuts. Beech is well processed and grinded by cutting tools. It reacts on the change of humidity and is considered the whimsical type. Its veneer is well polished, moored and toned.
USE: beech is a good material for inside decorative works: staircases, floor, parquet, panels as well as for furniture production.
